A model name gets us started. Measurements, mounting details and photos help determine whether a replacement will fit.
1. Identify your equipment
Record the make, model and year if known. Note aftermarket accessories and modifications. Two carts with the same model name can have different dashboards, windshields or headlight kits.
2. Take three clear photos
- The whole part and the equipment it belongs to.
- A close-up of clips, tabs, holes and fasteners.
- The part beside a ruler, photographed straight on.
3. Capture the dimensions that control fit
| Part style | Useful measurements |
|---|---|
| Cap or insert | Outside diameter, opening diameter, depth and lip thickness |
| Clip or bezel | Overall width and height, panel thickness, tab spacing and engagement depth |
| Knob or plug | Socket or hole shape, inner dimensions, depth and corner radius |
| Bracket or bushing | Mounting centers, fastener diameter, wall thickness and mating surfaces |
4. Use consistent units
Millimeters are useful for small parts. One inch equals exactly 25.4 millimeters. Include the unit with every measurement; do not round away the detail.
5. Keep the original
Even a damaged part can reveal the attachment design. Do not discard it until fitment is resolved. We may ask about a sample after reviewing your initial request.
A concept illustration does not verify dimensions. Only use the fitment details specifically confirmed for your quoted or listed part.
