Description
To strengthen the pin, I made a hole down the shaft that fits a standard construction nail. Cut off a nail, coat it with your favorite epoxy and glue it into the hole for extra strength. I use gorilla clear urethane glue to secure the nail and to secure the plastic part in the wooden panel.
Version 2 updated 5/29/2022: added some filet radius on leading edge and corners to match pocket routed into Mercedes wood trim.
